We had a burglary and my tv got fucked up. And I got that tv very cheap back then, even though it was a high-end model. So since I couldn't find a tv that was around the same price as I got my old, I had to pay a little extra on top of the money we got from the insurance to get one I would be just as happy about.

And the MacBook I payed full price because it was something I wanted and it wasn't involved in the burglary.

Shit went down in price for sure! My mom and dad bought a decent Philips 42 flatscreen back in the days (7 years ago). That was about 2312$ You can get something similar for under 500$ now here in DK lol

Well, since my old tv was under 2 years old the insurance pays full price. The problem is that the full price was a great offer I made when I bought it. I bought a Philips 8000-series for half price and since that is the full price I paid, that's the amount of money I'm gonna get.
Even though I'm now only getting a 6000-series, it's actually better since it's a brand new 2012-model.
