The reason that Marijuana is illegal is because big businesses make a huge profit off of it. Hemp was used for years before it was made illegal in September 1937, And not just for smoking. It was used for other stuff too. Also hemp is not harmful to the human body in any way. The media has made it seem like it's bad and unhealthy, but in a way it is healthy (Not going into how, read the article for that). Hemp can also be used for world hunger, the oil crisis and may other problems.

That's basically what it's about but there is a lot more to it.

I know, hemp was used for clothes and all sorts of other stuff, and still is. But putting smoke into your lungs is not healthy in any way, shape, or form. edit; it also impares you from your normal self. You aren't the same person when you smoke weed, just like when you drink alcohol.

I do agree with, if they do legalize it and put tax on it, we would get out of debt so fast, it's not even funny.

Actually it's the exact opposite of Alcohol because Weed makes you more aware. Yeah I was wondering the same thing about the smoke into your lungs I don't know why they didn't mention that part, but I guess that's the only bad side of smoking weed. Also they will most likely never legalize weed, the government/big business makes way to much money off of it.
