AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) - A New York mother who yelled "let him die" when her disabled son started choking in a restaurant has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor. 
Sixty-eight-year-old Rolaine Foigelman of Tonawanda pleaded guilty Thursday to endangering the welfare of an incompetent person.
Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita says Foigelman and her 43-year-old son were at the Boulevard Family Restaurant in June when he began choking on food. Witnesses say the woman tried to stop other patrons from helping her son and calling 911. He says she also repeatedly shouted "let him die." The son is OK.
A woman who answered the phone at Foigelman's home Friday hung up without commenting.
Foigelman will be sentenced in October. She faces up to a year in jail.
