Apples iPhone announcement has finally come and I couldn't be more excited. So here are all the details after I have kept updated live via blog feed from inside the event with Engadget.

iPhone 4s
Sadly no it isn't an iPhone 5
It's only an iPhone 4s which is rather annoying as they took longer to bring it out this year. But oh well here are all the details below.
Release date: 14th October (pre-orders start 7th) US, Canada, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, and Japan
On the 28th 22 more countries, and 70 countries by the end of the year. Over 100 carriers. "Fastest rollout ever."

New Apps coming include:
Cards App - A app that will allow you to create your own greeting cards. You pick the picture, apple prints the card. Once sent out for you, you will recieve a push notification telling you.
Find my Friends - Will allow you to quickly view and see your friends locations if they choce to share them with you.
iOS 5
Some new iOS 5 features are:
iOS 5 drops October 12th.
iCloud
iCloud is completely free and is integrated into apps so everything happens automatically. iCloud allows you to upload all your music, photos anything to this 'Cloud' then access it on any of your other devices for example your iPad or Mac. Still as impressive as when we heard about it at WWDC earlier this year.
Things such as Contact, Calender events, photos, music, movies can all be shared between devices daily backed up into iCloud and pushed to all your devices. Comes with 5gb online data for FREE. But you can buy more if you want.
iPod
New iPod coming in White as well this time, and of course running iOS 5.

- iPhone 4s will now be both GSM & CDMA networks aposed to iPhone 4 being just GSM vs CDMA. Benefits those who travel a lot.
- New 8 megapixel Camera 3264x2448... 60% more pixels than iPhone 4 / backside illumination = 73% more light & 33% faster capture. Better colour accuracy and more colour uniformity. Also five whole elements in the lens assembly -- 30 percent more sharper!
- There's a new Image Signal Processor that Apple designed, enabling face detection and 26 percent better white balance.
- Video recording now supports 1080p with a single tap. So now you can record in 1080p rather than 720p.
- AirPlay will allow you to play games on big screens connected over wired or wireless.
- New feature called 'Siri'. You can ask your phone questions like 'What is the weather like today?' and the phone will respond the weather forecast for you. Ask many different questions like what the time is in different countries etc. Not just narrowed down to simple things though, it is extremely intelligent.
- Now comes in 64GB!!!! Thank god my 32gb is FULL!!

iOS 5
Some new iOS 5 features are:
- Theres notifications visible from the top of the screen by swiping down. To stop notifications interfering when playing games etc
- iMessage will be equivilant to BBM for BlackBerry. Allowing you to message iPhone users for free.
- Twitter will be built directly into their OS. No more signing in multiple times, and you can share pics right from photos.
- New camera app on iOS 5 will make things easier to get to the camera and take a picture. Double tap the home button and 'BAM' you can take a picture. You will also be able to use the volume + button to take a picture rather than tapping the screen.
- Game center updated to add photos of friends, ahcievements points, friend recommendations.
- Safari updates will have a reader function that will strip all the junk on a page and pulls things into a single readable page. You can add it to your reading list and have it saved for a read later. Syncs between all iOS 5 devices you own so save once on your iPhone read anywhere for example on your iPad.
- Mail will be adding rich formatting. Indentation, moving addresses around, flagging them.
- PC free feature, activating your device without plugging it in. No need for a computer and you can also get wireless iOS updates.
