Midnight Madness is kicking off the season tonight and I'm sure there's some college basketball fans here, especially with the NBA in the shit show it's in. All college basketball discussion goes here

My team/school is Northern Colorado, we're coming off the best season in school history ( Big Sky Conference regular season and conference tournament champions, 1st ever birth in the NCAA tourney)

Why is there three divisions and what are the teams that play?

Divisions are based on the size of the schools mostly. Division I is the biggest schools, Division III is the smallest. The divisions are all broken down into conferences (which are normally regional) and you usually play a little over half of your games against teams in your conference, the rest against teams from other conferences. Then at the end of the season there's a 68 team tournament to determine the national champion.

A kid I'm graduating with already got a full ride to Maryland to play basketball so ill defiantly be keeping up with them this year.
