i just watched this melancholia movie about a planet that collided with earth and killed everyone...
do we have any known way of stopping some shit like this if it were to happen? like shooting it down?

shooting it would be a bad choice depending on how close it was to earth, the best way would be to direct it into another direction


with our satellites we can see shit light years away? (a long ways away lol) so we could definitely do something about it



unless it was travelling at an incredible speed were we couldnt even keep track of it, then i dont know what we could do, just prepare for the worst i guess
