I read on several websites that Amsterdam Tourists are going to be banned from buying cannabis from January 1st? I'm just wondering if this is actually true as me and my mate was planning on going to Amsterdam soon.

They want to make a new law in Holland, you will need a pass for a coffeeshop to be able to but weed there. So no people from other countrys will be able to buy weed. But it isn't going to happen for 100% sure

wow that would be really gay & Amsterdam would loose alot of money every year from tourists , because mostly every tourist that goes to amsterdam just goes there because weed is legal.

Yes it's true, to me it's a good thing. I live in Amsterdam and in some parts of the city it's not safe in the night because there are many stoned tourists and most of them are not very nice to normal people. But like illuzion said, Amsterdam will lose some money if this happens, but for most of the people that live in Amsterdam it's a good thing.
