it's just fake hair or real hair (barbershops usually buy clean and healthy hair and keep it for those occasions) braided into his short hair...

when i had long hair and when i cut it barbershop kept it and then braided it into my friends head cuz he had really short hair and wanted long dreads.. (of course they aint gonna do that shit if hair is dirty and damaged)
