Anyways, Im a senior in Highschool now, almost about to graduate, and I have no idea what I wanna Major in. I like to rap and everything, but I know its a lil too late for me to pursue music seriously.

Ive changed my mind so many times... from a vetenarian, to a dental hygeniest, to a physical therapist, to a dentist. All this shit, And I realized that I honestly don't like medical shit.

So then I looked into computer, i was thinking of being a computer hardware or software egineer but i realized that shit is mad boring, and takes alot of work and math and shit,


I like working with like audio and video shit, Im intrested in making music videos or something, but I don't know where to start. I want a good paying job, like 60k or above doing what I love.

Anyone have any idea of a job thats on the video production or something that pays well?

Or throw some suggestions out there, I wouldn't mind being something that is into the forensic business.

You could take an internship at your local news station, and that would be some experience in one of the fields you're interested in.

Find a school that has tons of programs. My school has all the pre-med things, computer science/engineering, media production, etc. And you don't have to choose one when you apply. I'm a sophomore right now and I'm still debating between econ or comp sci or psych. So don't freak out about the career part yet, and also don't freak out about your major only in the sense that you can change majors once you get to a school but you can't change the majors the school you went to offers. So look for a college that you like and that has an incredible amount of programs.

Once you get into the school, you're into the school. Programs can be changed (up to a certain point) after you play around with everything they have to offer, because honestly even though people say this will never happen to them, SOOOOO many people don't major in what they thought they were going to major in before freshman year.

I'm not sure. If you do decide to try the internship I'm sure the person you're shadowing would be willing to tell you. Even if you don't like the job itself it would give you experience in the technical field. Experience = a better chance of getting a job in the field. You might earn some connections also. Experience & connections = A even greater chance of getting a job in the field.

This isn't a troll post it would be terrible.

Anyway. KidComet you're in the exact situation I was in a few months ago. I kept saying to myself I "wouldn't MIND doing this, or that" but I never wanted to passionately go down a specific career path and I felt pressured because everyone I knew knew what they wanted to be, or were studying towards what they want to do whilst I had no idea.

My advice is to just do something you enjoy for your major, chances are you'll never take that career path anyway. Once you've done that just try different low level jobs in different industries to get some real experience in the different businesses so you can really get an idea on what you like and don't like. I mean some people love their jobs but at the end of the day it's work and it's never going to be fun. And remember to earn 60k a year you're going to have to work hard up ranks or work hard to start with that, no one is given a good salary at first..hard work, motivation, enthusiam and progression is your key to all of that.

I ended up choosing a major I hated and flunked out 3 semesters later...that's just me though.

I just had this conversation with my sister, she wants to be a psychologist because she's really interested in other people's lives and she thinks she genuinely cares about other's but it's not true she's just nosy and incapable of caring about anyone other than herself. What I'm saying is don't get lost into the first thing you get into chances are you'll find something you like even more, and don't worry about the money.

It's never too late to rap.
