Re: Beats by Dre
Yeah especially Pro's. they're metal and don't need batteries, so it's worth the extra $100.
right now my Skullcandy Hesh's broke. Gonna get the $150 Roc Nation Aviator's next. (I'm cheap, but they make pretty good headphone's for the price)

Re: Beats by Dre
I'm getting a pair for my 21st birthday later this year! I've done some research and there is no need to get the Pro's really unless you are using them for DJ'ing etc, if you are using them for just iPhone/iPod then the sound quality is exactly the same on both Pros & Studios. It comes down to the build, the pros are built from alaminum & the studios are built with plastic. Also a couple of features like the pros have something called Daisy Chaining where you can plug in another pair of headphones into them so someone can listen to what you are listening to, kind of like a splitter built within the headphones.
So the pros are obviously better in build (although they don't look as nice as the Studios) and they have one or two more features like the Daisy Chaining and no Batteries needed unlike the Studios. But when it comes to listening to them via iPhone/iPod the sound quality is no different, you will only get a clearer sound with the Pros if you are a DJ with a high output music player. So the answer to your question is based on what device you are actually using to listen to the headphones. I assume you would be using for iPhone/iPod devices or similar so I would go for Studios!
Beats By Dre (Studio)
Pros:
1. Look better (swag)
2. No difference in sound quality against the pros on iPhone/iPod devices
3. Cheaper
4. More Colours of choice
5. Light weight headphones (Better portability)
Cons:
1. Take Batteries for noise cancellation (although they last quite a while and it's not a problem if you have rechargable batteries)
2. No Daisy Chaining feature (allowing others to plug headphones into your beats)
3. Sound quality is better on high output media players
4. Made from plastic which looks better but is a weaker material (but stil known for being pretty strong headphones all around)
Beats By Dre (Pro)
Pros:
1. Sound Quality better on High output media players (the same on iPhones/iPod devices & similar)
2. Built with stronger materials alaminum
3. No batteries needed for noise cancellation
Cons:
1. Don't look as nice as the studios
2. Quite a difference is price being dearer
3. Heavy headphones (effects portability)
4. Only come in black & white
