  • Too much Government?

just got done and now im bored chillin on this dead ass site right now thinkin about politics and shit, and i know i can only speak for the USA because that is where i live but most of us on here are from the western countries i.e Europe and North America, and seeing as both of those economies are tied together more than most people realize i figure we can all have some input on this topic

it is becoming disturbing to me the amount of government control in the west today. we complain and say that we are too Capitalist and bitch and moan day in and day out about big corporate fat-cats taking all the money, but its the worthless government policies that are drowning our government pushing it into trillions of dollars of debt that seem to go unnoticed

the more we subsidize lazy and ignorant people with worthless public housing and "feel-good" laws the quicker the boat is sinking towards a bland - socialist mechanism run by illiterate un-educated sheep who can't wipe their ass by themselves in-between picking up their social security checks

At the end of the day, all British political parties are after one thing: control. To do that, they need votes, and giving welfare recipients certain privileges will get them these votes. I don't agree with it, but it is something that will probably never change. Unfortunately.

why do you think everything is so expensive? its because the downfall of democracy is when the people realize they can vote themselves money....meaning everybody wants all their benefits but nobody wants to pay for them

Government is fucked... Would be better off without. England would be better if Guy Fawkes succeeded in blowing up parliament all those years ago. I wish V for Vendetta would happen.

so you can spend that money on your new smart-phone or car, while still sending your 10 kids to subsidized public schools and eating off your disability check

Honestly there is and will never be an actual credible discussion about the governing of countries etc,it is too corrupt, period. Especially now where the world has gone to the dogs, if you actually look at the change in society properly , you would realise that we have come too far as a civilisation , things like crime, need of power and poverty have taken social change to a whole new level, a really silly but very valid reference to social change would be something like the average age of a mother, it has forever been decreasing, and i will bet my life that as our human race comes to an end, or begins to, things like that will seep through, the age would be at an all time low, with grandparents being the age of 20-30 year olds, this will also be evident through the level of crime, man made catastrophes and even natural disasters, the government is the stigma of this , trying to socialy construct their countries to compete for power and money. Today in 6th form i watched a 20minute clip of phillip zombardo who exploited the torture the us army put their prisoners through, including woman and children, it was actually being covered up for 6+ years by the government and overlooked due to the hunger of power. I cba too go on,rant over. -_-........... Philip Zimbardo shows how people become monsters ... or heroes | Video on TED.com
