I had a SLVR for two years before my sidekick. It actually served me well.

I recently went from the original 8GB iPhone to the 32GB iPhone 3G S (skipped the iPhone 3G thank God!) on Friday...Me & one of my high school friends camped out for it & it was well worth it

I saw an article on engadget and one of their readers compared megabits per second transferred during internet use, and the 3G and 3G S have almost like, the same internet speed. Apple had advertised quicker internet on the 3G S though, I believe.

That might be true but thing is I never had the 3G so to me, this phone is like 100 times faster than the original 8GB I had, not only internetwise tho cuz everything about it is faster than the original, texts are sent faster & when u have a good amount of texts without deleting them, the original would open text messages slower and this one doesn't, plus u can forward & delete individual texts instead of having to re-type something in order to forward it or having to delete the entire conversation in order to get rid of one text message....it's a better iPhone than the original all around for sure tho
