I am in a class at college about hip hop. It focuses on the history and its true roots and how it got to where we are today. The culmination of the class is a 10 page analytical research paper. Now obviously I want to have mine relate to Weezy somehow, but I need some help. I need a sort of guiding question, a topic that doesn't have a definite answer but could be found through research. I can't do the life and times of Lil Wayne, because that would just be passing on information, and not really researching to find an answer. Here are a few examples of questions that we were given:
Why is tupac still popular?
Why do so many male rappers lyrics portray women in an offensive light?
Are rappers cheated by the record industry?
Does listening to violent rap lead to violent behavior?
Is mainstream rap a sell out?
Those are a few examples, now can anyone think of a Wayne related question that I can write a significant amount about through research?
Thanks for the help guys.
