Not really... A medium to high-end system can last you for about 3-6 years playing games on high settings. Plus, if you don't wanna waste too much money, you can learn how to maximize the shit out of your hardware too. That's something consoles are never capable of.
No offense to the consoles though. Next-gen consoles are really stepping up. PS4 is nearly PC-quality now

idk what it is but i always felt xbox was smoother as far as gameplay, especially sports games. Fifa on xbox to me feels better than ps3. idk if im trippin
