Make it as long or short as possible to convey your belief. But also ask yourself these questions when writing it.
What is the best quality of this paper?
Is there a clear statement of the belief somewhere in the paper? What is it?
Is the belief pulled out of the air, or is it grounded in the personal experience of the writer? What convinces you of this?
Does the paper tell a story that illustrates how the writer formed this belief? What is the story?
Is the story convincing? What is convincing about it? What has the writer done to make it seem real to you - the reader?
Does the paper have concrete details, or are there too many philosophical assertions that aren't illustrated with examples? In other words, does it show and illustrate rather than just tell and make abstract assertions?
What do you think of the organization of the paper, and the order in which ideas are presented? Is it logical and easy to follow? Would you organize it in a different way?
