- Second Screen - Use PS Vita or iOS/Android to stream games and play them without a TV.
- Immediate Play - Features "Suspend Mode" pressing the power button will put the console in low power state allowing quick start up times, allow players to continue a game right where they left off straight from turning it on, also won't have to close a game to access programs like web browser.
- Dualshock 4 / PS4 Eye - Brand new controllers as seen in pictures and shown at PS4 event. Will also connect to the new PS4 Eye, a 3D Camera (similar to Kinect) for motion controls, face recognition, and better precision with PS Move Controller. Also has 4 Mics to tell between 4 different people and can detect positions of players in a room using the lightbar on the new Dualshock 4 controller.
- Backwards Compatibility - No backwards compatibility with PS3 as of yet, eventually Gaikais streaming technology will allow you to stream your PS1, PS2 & PS3 games on your PS4. To come at a later stage.
- Social Networking - Share button on the controller allowing you to instantly share videos of your game player on social networks, you will be able to view people playing games on their own PS4, you will even be allowed to take control if they let you to help them out on a section of a game they are maybe stuck on.
