haha nah man I don't care about that both are good consoles and will both sell very well, but Sony are doing bad financially either way and have been for some years now

Well we're lucky they ain't ever gonna stop doing the Playstation, whole separate thing. In terms of their other shit, I've never been interested in their Laptops or TVs or anything. Samsung for TVs for me.

according to the slides on show (as noted by ign), "ps4's are generally sold out at all retailers although regular supply is refreshing the channel," in addition, it was revealed that call of duty: Ghosts, fifa 14, and battlefield 4 are the three best-selling games on the platform so far. Sony also claims to have increased its market share among "heavy gamers".

other statistics revealed by john koller, playstation’s vice president of marketing are that ps4 gamers average a collective 34 million hours a week playing games on the console; 50 million when you take entertainment options into account.

in addition, 90 percent of playstation 4 consoles are connected to the internet, while so far, gamers have shared gameplay and screenshots 48 million times so far. Keeping the stats coming, 1.7 million hours have been spent livestreaming gameplay on twitch and ustream and 172 million hours have been played online with ps4 to date.

finally, it was revealed that playstation plus subscriptions are up 90 percent since the console’s launch.

in addition to all of the above, playstation's twitter account revealed that there are over 100 games expected to be released for ps4 this year.

It seems like journalists have been getting hands on with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes in Japan, both dispelling rumours of it being only two hours long and also revealing that one console version stands apart from the other.



Play Magazine's Sam Smith was one of the first to spill the beans on saying that, "The PS4 version of Ground Zeroes is gorgeous. Quite a lot better looking than the Xbox One version, too."

The same journalist also revealed he has Finished Ground Zeroes for the first time in about 90 minutes, although added, "Total game completion? 9%. I think that tells you all you need to know."

Others seem to agree with Smith's revelation that the PS4 version is better, with another saying, "Get Ground Zeroes on PS4, not XB1. Way better visuals, frame rate, everything... I believe @Hideo_Kojima said so himself."

Other information coming from Sam Smith was that "a lot of exposition that would have been in cutscenes before is now on audio tapes. Although you don't have to pause to listen. The whole thing feels faster paced as a result, less reliant on cutscenes with more storytelling through gameplay. It's great."

Finally, Smith made mention of the ending, saying, "The ending to Ground Zeroes is crazy exciting. Kojima is still the absolute best at what he does."

You can pre-order Ground Zeroes below. It kind of sounds like it may very well be worth doing.

It's been confirmed by Konami that Metal gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will run at 720p on PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, while the PS4 version will run at 1080p.

This news was confirmed over on the Konami Blog, where the team posted a range of comparison screens to show what this means for owners of each format.

Kojima recently praised the PS4, saying that the team was able to get the game running on the system easily. He made no mention of Xbox One at that time.


In addition to the above, it's also been revealed that there will be a special edition PS4, although it seems to be available at the Sony store in Japan only.

I'm especially waiting on Thief! I've been anxious for it since I saw it was coming. I would be willing to try an Infamous on PS4 too, I only played the first one.

i'm a fan of racing games but many say rivals ain't worth to play on the PS4
