I'm definitely buying the Xbox One when it comes out, can't wait!!!

A bit sad that we won't be able to play 360 games on it though.

Guess i'll just have to hang on to the good old 360 and play on both.

Yeah because that's a big flaw...

Sony just saving the big show for E3.

Blocking pre-owned games, has mandatory installs, not backwards compatible...? Really? I know PS4 ain't gonna be compatible from beginning but eventually you'll be able to stream all PS1, 2 & 3 games. Some of the big features on it as well aren't gonna be available on launch? And won't work in every country? Talk about half a job.

I was actually expecting some big things, and perhaps for Microsoft to blow Sony away a bit but TV shows? We are about gaming, COD bollocks? It's getting so old now... I feel a bit let down with it tbh.

Either way, I think it looks quite nice, will probably get one eventually but all my money is on Sony all day long >>

The PS4 will be superior. The only reason the 360 took off was because it came out earlier, and because of

Sony is gonna take back over, because they actually care about games.

this to me is brutal, and also, the fact that after you do that, the disc itself is basically useless, and if you want to put the game onto another xbox it will cost extra money to do so.....this was sort of a let down in terms of gaming, but i think theyre focus was to show this can do alot more than just be a gaming console, and are leaving the games for E3.....someone on another site made a great analogy for this...

It's a GAME console. Of course the GAMES will be there. They announced a few and declared 8 brand new IPs (something PS4 didn't do) and they'll show a bunch at E3.
How many smartphone reveals talk about calling people???? Nearly none. They all talk about the extra features the phones will have and apps. Everyone knows that you'll be able to call people with a smartphone.
Likewise, everyone knows that the next gen consoles will have next gen games, this just shows the other features it offers

Who cares about that though, when it's all about the performance? Sony didn't even need to show it and still is trumping Microsoft.

Is this true then? I heard you can buy used games but you have to pay to go online lmao, ridiculous, there is a reason used games are cheaper, its because somebody has used it before you! so the box/disc isn't completely fresh.

And their main thing which they showed, is speaking to the console telling it to "switch to tv" or "switch to the internet"

I couldn't give two shits about that, I have a TV, and a Laptop, I don't switch on my console to google something, I switch it on too play games.

At today's Microsoft event -- in which the Xbox One was revealed -- the company noted that Xbox One will be receiving 15 exclusive games in its first year on the market. Notably, eight of those games are promised to be from all-new franchises. One of which -- Quantum Break -- has already been shown.

Microsoft's focus on exclusive games with the Xbox One is likely a direct response to criticism leveled at the company during the Xbox 360 era, in which it had few exclusive games, although those exclusives -- like Halo, Gears of War and Fable -- were huge. This puts Microsoft into direct competition with Sony, which has traditionally more heavily emphasized its exclusive content.
