He pretty much said that the state and local governmants handle criminal cases and that the jury had spoken. He said the protests have to work their way through but that we need to have clear expectations of what happens next. He also raised a couple of hypotheticals, like what would've happened if Trayvon was white or what would have happened if Trayvon was the one that had a gun. He talked about what needs to happen now, including reviewing the "stand your ground law". Then he went into how we need to find ways to support and encourage black youth into doing the right things and that he wanted to get together with communities, religious, celebrities, athletes and figure out ways to help the black youth.

He did say though that he thought debate about racism would be unproductive and didn't want to engage in that because everybody goes into the discussion with their preset beliefs and nothing good comes of it. However, he said that it was not all bad and that young people today are more accepting than ever before.
