  • I dnt know where to live

Okay my parents are separated, but I am more than welcome to live in either parents home, im 19 still in college. But I don’t know if I should live with my Moms or my Pops.
I Have until August 20th to decide, cause thats the deadline for my college fees in the city where Im at currently, and If I pay for college, im def stuck here.
Dad’s House (Mcallen, Texas) (Currently Residing)
    • 99% Hispanic, Black people are super rare around here. I was the only black senior in my HS class, along with like one other girl.
    • Being one of the few blacks down here, it works in my favor sometimes, and it doesnt sometimes also.
    • Live like 20-30 minutes from Mexican border, and I aint never crossing it, My friends tell me all these stories of the Cartel, basically, I aint fkn with them,
    • No ignorant Worldstar niggas are down here, like at all.
    • Safe city, you can walk around at night like at 3 AM and be safe
    • It’s kinda boring
    • Dad has like a big 5 bedroom house, and he is NEVER here, he works like 6 days out of the week, and comes home for one day, and leaves again, so I get the house all to myself, comes with its ups and downs.
    • I know a lot of people down here.
    • Everything is close by
    • The music/hiphop scene is horrible, I weant to a show down here, it was embarrassing, having lil short Mexican dudes tryna rap, no offense, but dang yo. Made me ashamed of my city.
    • It’s basically hot all year round.

    Mom’s House (Raleigh/Durham, NorthCarolina)
    • Mostly Black, some white.
    • Niggas always tryna start something over no reason, if you guys live in a mostly black city, you know what it feels like.
    • My mom works nights, goes in like at 11pm, comes back like at 9am, sleeps all day, so I still have freedom but not as much.
    • I don’t like the fact my mom lives alone man,
    • I don’t know nobody over here, I mean I did, when I used to live here in 7th grade, but I wouldnt even know where to begin, and besides, I was more of an outcast here. I probally kept in touch with like 2 friends.
    • I was an outcast cause Uhhh, truth be told, I was a straight up Oreo, like Childish Gambino , that song “Outside” on his Album explained my life so much, “They were talking hood shit, and I ain’t no what that was about, cause hood shit and black shit are super different” But man not to be racist to my own race, but some of yall, most of yall are some ignorant, incoherent, arrogant people. Like I remember I aint have any style in middle school, so I wouldn’t be rockin the latest fashion, I would mind my own bizness, and niggas would be like ayye look at that nigga with them fubus on" or whatever, idk. Shit was depressing man.. Couldn’t be cool to save my life.
    • I don’t know how it is nowadays, but i know it hasn’t change that much, but I am a different person now, I think I could hold my own if I go back, i learned how to dress well, and I kinda picked up a black attitude from hanging with some G’s down here in texas, even tho they were mexican.
    • Truth be told, im kinda scared of black women. Im traumatized by em yo, like damn yo, being young and growing up in a mostly black school, them black girls were the most mean, most attitude having, nappy headed, damn yo, yall would just pick on a brother for no reason whatsoever. I went to the mall down here in where i live now, I was surprised to see a group of black girls down here, they saw me, I guess they thought since I was black, and they were black also, than that meant we would automatically mingle or whatever, but I had to walk by em, I was with my homies, man they look at me up and down and begin smirking or whatever idk, man like why they gotta do that though, I dont want any business with yall at alll man, leave me alone.
    • Basically whats really holding me back from moving, is the people, the environment.

Conclusion, man I’m not too fond of the environment and people in NC man. I like the environment in Mcallen alot more. Simply because people are nicer, and people are as judgmental, I can get away with a lot of stuff…. but my Mom man, I love that women to death, idk what to doooooooooooooooo
And also the weed down here is cheap since were close to mexico, and its easy to find, I quit smoking though so that would be irrelevant.

stay with your mom man it would mean the world to her to have her son around for company plus man you'll be out on your own and having a family so make the most of the time with her while you can. my mother is in the army..she was away...still is most of the time
i grew up without my mother so i wish i had a bit more time with her and had a good relationship like you seem to do with your mother
all we do is fight..sadly but even though we argue about stuff i still love her and would go with her if i had the choice.. my father walked out 3 months before i was born so i cant really say much about living with a father

Depends. My buddy is on felony probation and can't leave the county (yes, County) for another year. Which sucks because we ride dirt bikes in Okeechobee. So if he gets caught out of the county, it's VOP and minimum ten year sentence.

                Good luck though!

Talk to your PO about it. They'll be the ones to officially (legally) know and give you the right answer.
