I know what Im telling you first hand when Im saying material things do not bring happiness man, real talk, ill trade all I have for a 1 bedroom apartment with a family that sits down and eats at a dinner table ya feel me?


Material things won't satisfy your soul man at all, you guys know that feeling when you get so excited before you buy something and you finally get it, and then you have it, and then your like it for awhile, and it then gets old eventually

it happens with video games.
clothes
shoes,
etc etc


it WILL happen with that brand new car
it WILL happen with a big house
it WILL happen with fame
it WILL happen when you get enough money to last you your lifetime
it WILL happen with Sex

with all those things, you will get bored of it eventually thru lack of satisfaction..

these rappers an celebs can go on the TV and music videos and flash it all they want like it truly still makes them happy, but truth be told, there already bored of it man,

thats all they really have man, they have nothing else. the don't have and true values, any intellectual qualities that you can pick out and look up to, nothing positive for you to model after

The world would stop. People would not work for anything, because they would not gain anything. If world had no materialistic value you wouldn't have house you have now and you wouldn't have anything you have now, people would still be hominids and would not evolve.

Materialistic values and social classes are needed.

Bro, you're still at a pretty young age to figure out WHO you really are. Create a long term goal for yourself, and inside of that long term goal...make a few short, realistic ones. Just because you don't have a family who eats dinner every night together doesn't mean there's people out there who don't care.

Family isn't always about sharing the same blood. Family are people who are there for you at your weakest, and will remain there even after you build yourself back up with their help. If you don't like going to the clubs, don't go. If you want to stay inside majority of the day and play xbox? Do it. If you wanna shoot hoops outside? Go for it. But do it now, because sooner than you'll realize it, you won't get all this extra free time to figure out "Hmmm..what to do today? I have so many options!"

Once you move out on your own and working 5-6 days a week, you won't have any time or even money to yourself. The reason we work, is for money. The reason we work for money, is to have the essentials in life (House, bed, clothes, food)
