Im saying its just game in terms of the way you guys are defending as if its actually of importance,

Tha main reason ain't the game.. The game could be a little reason i can admit that, some people can't see the difference between games and real life. (especially not an 8 year old) But it's the parents responsibility to make sure their kids doesn't play games that ain't for them..

Tha main reason is that there was a GUN lying in the house, a GUN an 8 YEAR OLD could go and grab.. The gun were probably loaded and the kid also probably knew were the gun was..

Don't blame the game.. Millions plays games like this, and it rarely happens. Put the game in someone's hand almost every one will play it no big deal. Some people that's already fucked up in their heads will kill someone. Put a gun in someone's hand and that's when people starts to get killed.

If you actually watched the video and read the news articles, the kid thought the gun was a toy. He didn't "mean" to shoot her.

He was probably just a normal kid and was curious. After playing GTA IV, he was like "Aw yeah man, I'm Niko with a gun...bang bang ba-" BOOOOM! Into Grandmas head on accident.

^ Exactly. Why wasn't the gun locked in a gun safe, where it should have been? Where were the parents? Why was the gun even OUT in an open place where the 8 year-old knew the location? Why was the care taker even letting play a 17+ game? Who bought the game?

Whoever can take the blame for THOSE questions, should be locked up instead of the 8 year-old.

but it's not him to blame, remember.. he is just a kid

Its the parents responsability to learn the kid what is okay and what is not okay

A lil kid shouldnt even play a game like that at that age or even listen to violent music for that matter

And they say violent video games don;t make violent people, have we forgotten that it is now 2013 and mens hearts are corrupted beyond relief.
Most people don't think they are corrupted by these games, but the corruption doesn't have to be to this extreme for it to be noticeable , your being corrupted spiritually


First thing you guys are going to say is, "GTA didn't MAKE him pick that gun up and shoot his Grandma, it was his own fault for doing that blah blah blah blah, blame the parentttssss for buying him the game,, its not the gammmmmmme its himmmmm "

Come on, games like this definitely don't have a positive influence on a kids mind, we can all agree.. so if it doesn't do anything beneficially positive for his mind.... then .. it must.... have a negative influence.


And can we really blame the parents bruh. This isn't the 90s. Kids are smoking weed at 8 years old, having sex at 13. Even if the parents told him not to buy that game, he wasn;t going to listen, shouldv'e been more strict?

In before everyone defends GTA and rockstar rather than grieve over the fact that a grandma is now dead.

Weak minded people are affected by violent video games. 75% or more of the population is weak minded. Doesn't mean everybody is, or that games should be illegal. lol.
I am not personally a fan of GTA, just like COD it is far to repetitive as a series, so in no way am I defending it, but I will defend other classic games that happen to be violent.
