Im not talking about drugs such as crack, meth, or heroin. I'm talking prescription anti depressants and psychotics.
If you are so far into "conspiracies" Then do some research on prescription drugs, and see how a large amount of people(prolly more than 50%) that does mass killings (extreme) and lower acts of violence were in fact on prescription drugs.

And i would disagree, music has helped me. For sure. Call me Sportz but it helps me in school, it gives me stuff to do, and look because of music i am having an intelligent conversation about bigger matters.

Oh and the article, i read it all. But i don't like reading articles because of the biased they have, even if it is informative. So i wont make any judgment upon that.
You didnt need wayne to teach you that You can learn that from almost anyone

Okay but besides perscription anti-dspressant and psychotics the man who just lost his life tonight selling crack, or the man that OD'd off of heroin doesnt matter?

How is an article showing studies to back it up biased?
Or how is an article allowing people to vote in a poll biased?

I'm just saying that in a sense the people are not looking to inform you on everything about the article, as with almost every article it has a form of bias. It is unavoidable it is just how we think when we write. Its kinda like being on a jury in a sense.

And yes the people who died from the non-prescribed drugs do matter. But that is a diff discussion. Im just saying how people blame the easy outputs like guns, music, and videogames.

The article had no bias statements though, it even seemed as if they were trying to be unbiased as possible

How is that a diff discussion? Rap Music... promote drug usage and.drug dealing.sends a negative message to people..

people use drugs and drug deal, live that life that rappers promote.

        True or false?

and please don't look at yourself and say "nooooo i jam wayne and I never even touched a drugggg"

Im talking about society as a whole, the thousands of projects in the america,

imagine if mainstream rap promoted getting a job, and staying in school, and treating women with respect, and helping and loving your parents, respect, integrity, etc

imagine if mainstream rappers portrayed an image as being a strong black man like MLK or Malcom X, being a strong leader with a positive influence on the youth, being a smart educated men and women.

Imagine if the media gave those type of people all the money and fame and spotlight,
people would look at it like, okay, this man went to college, and he is well educated, and look where he is at. IM gonna try to be better than him, im gonna try to study as hard as he did to become successful.

But no, what do we have? Mainstream rappers promoting violence, sex, wominzing, murder, ignorance,

maisntream rappers portraying an image of being arrogant, cocky,

the media gives them all the spotlight they get all the fame and money, so most kids these days (NOT ALL) MOST kids look at that and think, oh, chief keef has a million of dollars and is famous by acting like that? You dont need to be educated to make that money? Oh, you can have tehhh bitchess on your cockkkk? "Oh i can smoke weed all day like wiz khalifa and become a rapper and drop outta highschool? It worked for him. And wiz khalifa told me "to follow my dreams, and keep pushing. so i know i can make it!!!!!

Their selling FALSE DREAMS to ppl man.

A Rappers promote that lifestyle... THAT ONE person out of millions and millions makes it,

those millions who didnt make it, look up to him like, man he made it out, I can too!

but you have a 99.9% more chance to end up DEAD or in JAIL before being some type of scarface, top of the block crack king,

You may not know this, but Kids, 12,13,14,15,16, maybe 17 are REALLY dumb, sorry to say. Their minds are easy to influence and manipulate.

I watch that show "Beyond scared straight" all the time man, these kids actually believe they are a gangster, the most non gangster looking kids think they are hard man.

Imma try to keep this short:
It is easier to act negative than positive.

Why do you think MLK and Malcom X are so well known? It's because they are different.

As i have said before most rappers are into negative rap because that how they grew up, in a negative world. It is not to often when you get an Immortal Technique, who in a sense is also negative, just in a different way.

But the BSS (the show), ya i watch that too. I like it, but i mean have you seen there parents, or brothers, firends, or where they live.

Most of its wrong, but me i listen to it because of the cleverness and flow. And i take in the meaning of the songs i choose such as Trouble and Cry Out (not sure if you remember them or not, id hope so because there is no way you could forget them...whether you agree with wayne or not)

And the article was very interesting i read it all, the detail makes it seem so real, but i still cant fully believe it tho because of just the credibility, insane tho

            1. So that makes it okay? We all grew up in the same negative world, but it doesnt mean you gotta make it worse, you can either be part of the solution or part of the problem, and negative music, rap in particular is part of the problem case closed

            2. there ya go talking about ya self again, good job bro, your a smart individual who listen to music, doesnt get influenced, and tries to get the full meaning of the clever wordplay and what not.
im not talking about you tho, im talking about the kids who aren't smart enough to think for themselves, and thats most of society.

Im talking about myself because im not the only one, haha not like im selfish, not sure why it matters that im mentioning myself. But i mean rap is open for interpretation whether you view it positive or negative. Thats your choice, that will most likely be influenced by your past. I (mhm talking about me again) do not use it for negative matters so i will contniue to listen and defend Wayne and rap in general.

and why rap? not near as bad as some rock bands n shit.

The point is, music that send a negative message does society more bad than it does good, case close

as a psychology student I can say that people are influenced by media a lot. But this is not the problem. The problem is, as already said the circumstances like how they feel, their past, their friends n family etc. media works with our subconscious, but only to buy things, or to make us believe that we need things we actually dont need or that everything that happens in countries like Egypt has to do sth with us.

but the past is decisive combined with psycholgical resilience and feelings.

                    ayyyyeee keep it real.

                      Interesting...

As a psychology student, you can recognize that media works with our subconscious mind to make us buy things, or make us believe we need something we don't

but you can't see that when a 13 year old child sees a rapper doing drugs in a music video, they get persuaded to do the same.\
If the media can make someone buy something, it can def put the idea of doing what they see portrayed in the media in the viewers head, and that idea comes back around sometime.

And yes their "past" matters also, but come on, I know so many kids these days with a good perfect lil life, but still go out and do coke and all that stuff, because the media portrays that type of lifestyle as being "cool". Im in college, but looking back at highschool, the "cool" kids were the ones doing all the drugs, and throwing all the parties, which ended with someone getting arrested or what not. And all of that is negative influence, negative actions,

That can be good and bad though =/

Back in the day a 13 year old might want to do syrup because Lil Wayne did it but today they might want to start skating because Lil Wayne does it.
