Defending Rappers

[Critic]

I've always tried to defend my fav rappers whenever the haters are around because I gotta let them know why I listen to them.

e.g

Meek Mill (yelling)
Lil Wayne (you already know why)
Drake (bitch-made)
Flow (Wayne copy)
Tyga (sounds the same on every track)
Chance the Rapper (annoying voice)
etc.

Most of the times they be hatin for no reason so I can easily defend but sometimes you can't win. Mostly cuz they won't listen to reason and this stuff is gettin annoying so Im done trying to make my music look like it's "good enough". Incident happened the other day when I played Lil Wayne and everybody went crazy, I tried to explain why he's not that bad of a rapper today and now a few ppl think I have bad taste in music .

So now Im like:

Does anybody else here try to defend rappers? Have you changed ppl's minds or did you end up lookin dumb?

I'm at the age now where if someone doesn't like the same music as me I don't give a fuck and I won't even try to convince them to like it.

But it's the same with me, because most of my mates be listening to dance music and they try and convince me to like it, but I'm just not having it.

I used to "defend" Weezy all the time, but that's years ago

Now i dont really care for the haters. They don't affect how i enjoy my music anyway

But i still vote down hate-comments on Youtube etc, lol

sometimes i try to defend what i'm listening to but there are not many differences on the music my friends and i listen to, nearly everyone listens to hiphop, even if i'm the only one listening to wayne, but one friend of mine just doesn't like waynes voice so i can't convince him and another one doesn't like the beats and i don't even try to convince him, that would be to difficult and in general i don't give a fuck if anyone listens to my music. i'm probably annoying this guy who doesn't like the voice cause i always send him songs where the voice is different, lmao.

I kind of understand why they talk shit on Wayne because to me he's not the same. He's still good and my favorite rapper all-time but honestly he's not the best right now anymore

One thing I do hate is when people talk shit about Drake when he raps or sings. When he sings, everybody tries to shit on him and call him soft for talking about bitches but when he raps, they say he's trying to be tough or call the verse whack when he fucking bodied it. To me, he's the best right now no doubt and I feel like people try to be hard by calling him soft. So it's like Drake won't ever have a win-win situation

I used to defend weezy & have the longest convo as to why he is still a great rapper, but they would end up not even caring, so i don't really give a fuck now, i don't care if they say he sucks or not.

when i see a hater or someone who used to be a Wayne fan i don't even bother no more to convince him...cuz it's not my job its Wayne's TBH...he should produce music to attract people not to make them dislike or hate him.
