The idea of religion is really comforting for the human race. We will always seek a higher power, intelligence, someone to speak to who is beyond us in a time of great need. This will never go as when anyone is in a horrible place they will seek this. Even those happy and blessed wil still do this just because of the way they may have been brought up/tradition/culture/beliefs.

I really like the idea of Christianity and I can only hope the spirit of a God is what created all and everything (Universe) but I'm also realistic. The world was not created in 7 days, Jesus did not come back to life, and this world was created by the big bang. We are all star dust, atoms, nothing more. Science is what I believe in, strongly too.

But beyond what science can't explain..that's where it's just unknown, anything is possible. You just can't get your head around space and that it's literally never ending, who created it? What's outside of the space of space? What was here before? What happens after you die? Do you really cease to exist as you're just atoms and they're now dead and so are you and everything about you? We humans simply cannot comprehend these questions and we may never ever find out as we'll either die out before then or kill each other in a war.

I really wish less money was spent on arms and the world could unite and focus soley on science. Finding cures, space exploration, researching these questions and many many more. Instead we are destorying our own legacy as a race, we could, if we really put the money and brains to it find sustainable ways to live on other planets and evolve beyond Earth. After all if you strip money, modern society, cultures and put us back to our basic, sole purpose in life, as a human, like any animal is survival of the fitess and reproduce.

It's not impossible for God to not exist, anything is possible. But if I could judge it now based on what science has proven so far? I'd say it's very unlikely. Just my thoughts though.

    tldr; science

I agree throughly that the world should work togethor to bulid beautiful things. Unfortunately, a lot of the religions out there and there meanings have been fractured, manipulated and misunderstood.

So here we are, thrown into a world of chaos. Every major religion teaches us to love our neighbours and donate but we decide to hate everything different and be greedy.

Okay now im rambleing ill get to the point, how can such beautiful philosophys come out of us? Espicially in a time where people were doing vial things and society was moving terribly slow. Why would millions and billions of people chose to believe in god?

And with the big bang theory dont you ever question what was before existance its self? its so unbelievably mind blowing.

Its these questions, these behaviours, that made me so interested in psychology.

For all you who don't believe in God,
            I have a question

Is it impossible for God to exist?
            if Yes.. why?
EDIT: And first of all, you don't respect other people beliefs, you proved that many times, you mocked Muslims, you mocked Atheists, you mocked everyone.

And now to answer your question.

            No.
We can't ever know if there is a God or if there isn't.
We can either choose to believe or not to believe. Or neither.

And there is even a name for that.. Apatheism..

The concept of God is far too difficult for the human mind itself... Until you've fully understood the complexity of dimensional existence then I'd keep God open for discussion...Many live their lives with a simplistic mentality ignoring anything that's out of their comfort zone..The fact that people compare it to fairy tale only implies you're a 13 year old moron who reads absolutely nothing..

Just basing humanity's origin off of the big bang theory..you have to understand that not a single person has derived an answer as to what existed pre big bang....just that single question alone completely destroys any scientific approach.. Of course you can comeback and say.."who created God"...that statement in itself is fallacious because you're already indirectly asserting God's omnipotency..who created the all powerful...he wouldn't be all powerful then if he had a creator lol... Regardless, if you ask me... The "fact" that two cells reproduced post volcanic explosion on a shiny surface(ultra simplistic summary) where the origin of these variables are unknown, sounds as ridiculous if not more than a "magical man in the sky"....

"The Universe was created 14 billion years ago...."

One must question first... if the Universe was created, or if the Universe was just there to begin with, it must of had a creator right?
Is it more logical to believe that something came from nothing, or something came from something.
Everything that is created must have a creator, something just can't be from nothing.
I have a hard time believing logically, that this world came from complete nothing, and nothing created it. That 14 billion years ago,the universe was just there. How is it more logical to believe that, then to believe that God created it to be. Does the big bang theory sound just as flawed, if not more flawed then a "magical dude in the sky"?

                    Thus making that statment, @MORO551

But if you read what I posted earlier you'll see I wrote about how beyond the questions science can't answer then anything can be possible, we just don't know those facts yet. The big bang isn't flawed at all, it's a fact, it happened. When you turn on your TV and see static on your screen? That's the left over wave from the big bang, same with radio.

Science keeps peeling things back for the believers.

When the theory of evolution was posed, people said it went against God. Now we have proved evolution (yes, we've proved it), the believers either say it's propaganda or they say, "well, who started evolution?" (Some people still believe the Earth is flat.)

The same goes for the Big Bang or whatever theory you want to use. When science ultimately discovers the origins of the universe (not gonna happen anytime soon), the believers will throw up the whole, "who created the Big Bang?" nonsense.

I'm not saying it's outside of any physical realm for there to be a creator, I just think it's extremely ignorant for the believers to think that someone so divine actually loves and cares about you...not to mention the fact that a God probably would have created other planets for other beings.

It is flawed because the origin of the universe can't be explained using that theory,
it doesnt make sense that the earth is positioned perfectly in the universe, so perfectly that it can sustain human life, being the perfect difference from the sun and the moon. Perfections like that must be created for a purpose, it doesnt make sense that a random explosion made it so

                          Even the bible says

“They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”

The theory of evolution is farrrr from settled. Flaws such as the contradiction between punctuated equilibrium and gradualism.

A fact can not have flaws, a fact has to be a fact, and can not be disproven, there is reason to not believe in the Evolution theory based on facts, facts like when one projects micro-evolution into macro-evolution, it creates a problem.
There are many scientific holes in all these theorys, based on the science used to even create the theory in the first place.
Evolution is an enabler for atheism, it gives them something to explain how life exist, rather then accepting the fact that God exist,
Even Charles Darwin was once a believer in God, but due to some problems in his life, he stopped believing in God, and had to find another excuse for life here.
