Its been a good run,
I remember joining these forums, being a Wayne stan, a hardcore Wayne fan, getting so excited over a release, feeling so ecstatic while listening to a Wayne song.
Over the years, I found myself maturing. I found that my mind was no longer impressed with Lil Wayne. His whole image that was once so amazing to me, had now turned into a mere joke, a mere abomination of a what the black man stands for. He is successful, no doubt, but so was Martin Luther King, who had a positive impact on the culture, unlike Wayne;and this isn't to put Wayne down or anything, their hasn't been a positive role model for this culture in forever.
Everything that he stood for that was once cool to me, began to feel outdated, played, and just plain dumb.
Music, is an expression, its an art, no doubt about it. So the music Wayne expresses is in no way appealing to me. I find that it may be appealing to one who's mind is more easily palpable.
The type of music you listen to, can say a lot about who you are. I was no longer the type of person who looked at life the way I used to, where girls were mere objects, where getting money was the top priority or just being materialistic and so on. Me, myself changed, and thus, my interest in particular lyrics changed with it. I no longer desired to hear another male brag upon how much wealth he has sustained, or how many women he has slept with, or whatever else these non efficient rappers talk about these days. I desired a truer message, a message with life.
Don't get me wrong, all music has it's audience. All rappers attract a certain type of person, that person becomes their fanbase. It's rare to see a chief keef fan also be a fan of Immortal Technique for example, very a rare indeed but certainly not impossible. This is because these fan base's demand two completely type of artist, one expects to hear information, a conspiracy about the Government, a new profound knowledge,
the other expects to hear music to get hyped too.
And of course, all music has its purpose in society, as one doesn't expect to go into a club to dance to Lupe Fiasco's Word's I Never Said song.
I'm not a club person, I'm not a guy who dreams of living in the biggest mansion with 5 Bugatti's and so on.
This is a child mindset, this is a mindset of one who will never meet satisfaction but will always be friends with desire, desire for more but never satisfied, a feeling we all know too well.
As you get more, you want more.
I began to research about the music industry, and found some interesting connections, throughout all my knowledge, that doesn't include simply watch a you tube video, I have found out that their are great perils at work. I advise you guys to stop listening to this secular music for at least a day or two and really stay way from noise and just think and be in peace. I'd advise you to stay away from this secular music all together for the rest of your life, but I know there is a very small chance of that.
This is my last plea.
My last plea to advise you all to get to know Jesus.
There have been many misconceptions swindled up out Christianity.
It's so hard to address them all here, I really wish you all would see how it really is, but I'm afraid that the blindfold may be too tight.
I will no longer be on this forum. I find no more entertainment in such simple things. I am not calling you guys dumb in anyway, but simply saying that my mind finds no more enjoyment in such small nuisances. It is me, not you all.
God Bless you all. I love you all very much. And I pray you all stay sharp and ready, and find God...soon.
