This is where you're wrong. Humans will fuck each other over to get ahead whenever they get the chance. That's the way it's always been.

Most wars have been over land or difference of opinion. They just want everything and will slaughter anyone that gets in the way (ex: Native Americans). And if someone has a difference in opinion (religion, politics, etc.) they fight over it for years and years.

Jews got captured and brought to Egypt. Then when they got back, Palestinians played finders/keepers and they've been fighting ever since.
