Is Islam still really a peaceful religion

Who's been keeping up with what's been going on with this new ISIS Islamic terror group ? It's been all over the news. If you haven't , this video complies everything that's been happening and it's not pretty.

Just because 1% of the muslim population are extremists or doing stupid shi, that doesnt mean that Islam is not a peaceful religion.

Muslims take their religions very serious and the Qu'ran states that they should defend their beliefs against attack from non-believers

Some people interpret these statements to the extreme and sees minor critic as a attack (such as muhammed drawings, or making fun of Islam).. These people will fight for their religion.. and some of them will take it too far

But dont let the 1% affect your view on the religion

How does 1% hold enough power to take over entire countries,

Well the Quran actually says to "eliminate the white infidel". And yea idk about 1% but it's definitely a small portion of the Muslim community. Don't forget that Islam and Christianity are the two biggest religions,and both contradict one another more than any other two religions..

It can be a peaceful religion and the minority tarnish the image for the majority who practise islam and are very good people but you do have to question this:

If it's such a peaceful religion why don't these good majority of Islamists come out and show the world they don't support this? You rarely ever see protests or big movements of the majority of these peaceful islamists protesting for the peaceful religion they tell the world about. Showing everyone they DO NOT support the movements of these extremist and mad inhumane acts of violence on other people. Makes you think.

The countries with the most refugees in the world are ALL islamic nations. Food for thought...

Depends on what you think of as peaceful. Your talking about a religion where there's nothing wrong with beating and killing women or anyone that thinks differently and rape victims get charged with prostittution and killed. How can a reglion be peaceful when it's own followers often end up victims of they're beliefs. Just like I wouldn't consider Christians peaceful during the crusades or the witch hunts I don't consider Islam peaceful right now. I don't lump of them into the same category as the terrorists but I don't believe they're a peaceful non violent people either.
