Theres more meaning to it then that, its more so about focusing on your spirit and soul and giving to others and all that and being appreciative for what god has given you instead of always focusing on your physical needs.

Oh for sure religion is a terrible thing to the world but like then again religious people like Gandhi have stopped larger wars from happening
