Should Young SkilZ sell out?
Hello and how do you do fellow members of LilWayneHQ, it's Young SkilZ!
Today as I checked my email I happened to see I received an electronic letter, not a letter but a letter from - I'm taking a wild guess and guessing not from a fan but from an average common joe, slash, human being with a question looking for an answer. His question was and I quote "As an underground artist with complete control over ones own creativity, would you ever go against your creative vision to leap the gap that divides us indies and mainstream artist to make popular music in the same genre or would you rather stay dormant, creating your surroundings such as in a lucid dream but to be left to wake the many people sleeping on your music?"
This individual, (I will not mention any names due to private reasons. Confidentiality is essential when it is unable to provide liability for any damages of any public image), then left me not only with just his question to answer but as well as one of my very own, one I then had which was, "Should Young SkilZ sell out?". This individual said to me in other words, I would have to give up my creative rights if I chose to sign to a label guaranteeing access to success, such as my music being "Coca-Cola Known", but if I were to choose to stay independent to pursue my vision, I would end up not only underground but with a smaller fan base and apparently everybody else would be deprived of energy resulting in many people sleeping on me.
So in conclusion ladies and gentlemen, that leaves me asking one final question,
'Would you sell out?'.
