  • You know how they say don't wash your hair every day?

Is that with shampoo only or with water too?

My point is I have showers every day but I don't want to wash my hair every day, so should I just not even get water on my hair or is that fine as long as its not shampoo?

Just don't use shampoo every day, it strips your hair and makes it dry. I use shampoo bars because they don't do that. You can use them everyday.

just do what's better with your hair.

      everyone is different.

i think some people get greasy hair if they don't shampoo daily.

So you're saying use water when I shower but just not shampoo?

So I rinse my hair but not exactly "wash" it?

Yes, and if you've been shampooing your hair everyday than it might take awhile to adjust to the change. Shampoo strips all the natural oils from your hair so when you wash it everyday your skin has to work overtime to produce more.

When you stop doing that it may take a couple days to break the cycle. So it might look greasy/dirty for the first week or so. then your skin will adjust and stop producing the extra oil.

            Thanks for the advice

Will it only take a week to adjust to the changes?

its different for every person, it depends on a lot of things, skin type, hair type, hair length I think.

it took my hair quite a bit longer than that but I have thick waist length hair, most people I've talked to have said about a week, unless you have really oily hair.

It really is worth it though. If I go back to using shampoo everyday I end up feeling like a troll doll.

                Fair play

So how many times do you shampoo a week?

And do you think it's different for males and females?

I shampoo about every other day, but I use the shampoo bars, so I can wash it everyday if I need to.

I haven't really talked to many guys about it so not really sure. Lemme go check another forum right quick, see if they know.

nope, I wouldn't think it would make a difference though.
