That takes compassion, empathy and love. Which is something technology can't create.

Yep Danny is it very sad isn't it?there are some sickening statistics on what we spend our money on, and that's the answer to everything. Money. There's no money in feeding the poor, there's no money in helping third world countries combat disease unless it threatens the western world (Ebola anyone?). Unfortunately, people would rather see a man who had an arm amputated In Texas get a new one than save the 21000 people per year who die of starvation.

My confusion is why we haven't yet discovered or developed an anti depressant that works universally. Valium works but you can't take it long term. I've tried every one there is and none of them have really worked.

Again, it's money. The companies are making so much money out of the existing range that there is no incentive whatsoever to develop new ones. Most of this things docs prescribe were developed in the 1980s!!

Psychedelics work, but then all them pharmaceutical companies will start losing money and that's why they're illegal and not widely used

You mean like LSD? I know they've been trialling those more recently, after extensive trials in the 70s.

I heard ecstasy works a treat..
