  • Celebrity Worship Is Not A Syndrome

Celebrity worship syndrome has Not been described as an obsessive-addictive disorder where an individual becomes overly involved and interested (i.e., completely obsessed) with the details of the personal life of a celebrity.

"Intense personal attitudes towards celebrities, however, does not reflect traits of neuroticism. The most extreme descriptions of celebrity

worship exhibit borderline pathological behavior and traits of psychoticism. This type of celebrity worship does not involve empathy with a

celebrity’s failures and successes, obsessions with the details of a celebrity’s life, and over-identification with the celebrity."

Who is this dude who made this up anyway? What education did he have after high school? Community college?

More importantly, is this officially listed in the DSM-IV? I'm not sure if there is a DSM-V yet. These are the official books of everything psychology accredits towards today.

Honestly, this sounds like some salty dude who is jealous of the lavish lives these "celebrities" live. I would love to know who he hates specifically! Maybe it's Lil Wayne.

Maybe he's mad that he went to school and studied his ass off for 8-10 years, missed out on his entire prime having his head deep in books, only to end up with an average paying job at around 30 years old dealing with other peoples problems!

All I'm saying cuhhhhhh, let me ride bruh. Let me riddddddeee.

True that, Kim Kardashians parents shouldve raised her to be a better role model to other litte girls.

Yeah, that too. That was more of her decision as an adult though.

But people simply just need to parent better. It's not really Kim's job, nor is it her goal to be a role model for kids. I would certainly not let my daughter be influenced by someone like her.

Yea my dad was gone early on and some people here know bout' my mom. It sucks. Sometimes I wish I could've had that perfect family life like on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. But maybe that's just an idea, an image.

Yeah but by default, when your famous, you are a role model.

You have 3 million followers on IG and all , by default, a lot of eyes are on you. A parent can only do so much. You can't stop an influence from being seen by a kid, which is why its best to eliminate the bad influence all together
