It's amazing! Love it out here. Only been to the city twice as I'm closer to the Connecticut boarder and a good hour and a half from NYC. Weather is good. Working with kids is fun and the weekends are a good laugh because we just get pissed, or more recently I drove to Boston for the weekend. Got five weeks of summer camp left then I'll travel for maybe two weeks.

If I were him, I wouldn't spend it all in one place.
Assuming it's $1 million, $250,000 on a house, $100,000 on like 3 cars, and save the rest. Maintaining those costs enough as is.
