Capacitors - storage electrical energy. No polarity needed for this (these go "both ways") two people needed for experiment. feed off each other.. try it. its fun. Then dump your knowledge off at the post office

Resistors - work slightly different. They resist electricity and "hold it back" from achieving its dreams
