just watch that the distance is 5.33 miles and he can see the other side go at 11 and check that he is doing the calculations him self and i even sent u the site to check ur self that according to NASA what should be the curve

Okay, I saw it..but you forget that Earth is not perfect sphere, but oblated one.
So that radius of 6.371km is just an average radius. It can range from 6.353 to 6.384km.

He might just be at the spot where radius is different and the visual results are different than the calculations.

This test should be done at various locations around the world. Not just one place. I guarantee you, he will get different results.

So that radius of 6.371km is just an average radius. It can range from 6.353 to 6.384km.

He might just be at the spot where radius is different and the visual results are different than the calculations.

This test should be done at various locations around the world. Not just one place. I guarantee you, he will get different results.

Look this is a view from my house i can go down to the beach and take a pic and u will be able to see the far away houses which are 11km in straight line and 18km if u follow the road according to the calculations i shouldnt be able to see the house that are down to sea lvl but i can with a good camera or even with my eyes if its a good weather without fog

the american idol these days said it not me, so my question is ok the fix the colors but why the shape as well? maybe cuz all pictures are fake cgis?

yeah, but you can see them cuz they are way above sea level, you need to find out the height of those buildings, and then do the calculations.. if they were at the same level as you are when you are standing on the beach, you wouldn't be able to see them..
they are likely on much bigger height, even if it doesn't look like that from your point of view.

I don't believe Earth is pear shaped. But like I said oblated sphere, look it up to see what shape it resembles..
They don't change the colors. Different cameras take different pictures. And it depends on the time they are taken.
Also, from above, from that huge height, you can always see only one side of the Earth, and it will always look that shape.. if you look in the center of that pic, you can see that it's oblated

no no actually it was my mistake saying houses, there are beach bars exactly same level as sea, maybe 50cm above it? and how much bigger than 1.70m (my height) they could be they are some tents selling cocktails nothing fancy , my friend already did a test with a cheap telescope he bought for 80 euros and he could see everything but he doesnt have a camera to record it

Do they not have science lessons at whatever school you went to? Light refracts, bends. Quite easily actually. Objects can seem displaced, especially at long distances. This is how we have things like mirages. This stuff is common knowledge. It's not so simple as looking at things and drawing woefully uninformed conclusions.

Hm, you might have to record it with camera, so we can see..
But yes, like Knock said, that effect is especially multiplied with water, and that sea looks pretty clear, which means that objects might reflect onto the sea and look like they are closer than they really are..

Well, every scientist has his own opinion. When one scientist brings enough proof it becomes a fact.
He can have his opinion, just because he is scientist doesn't make him right.
