Don't carry a gun when you're a convicted felon. Don't be on the block waving your gun at people in the middle of the night. Don't reach for your gun when the police are on top of you. Follow the law. Pretty simple.

Obviously not. But what I am saying is when you don't break the law you aren't as likely to be put in that position. It's not right, it's not fair but it's the way it is. We especially have to be aware of that.

Alton knew he was going to jail for having that gun on him. He made the decision that he was going not going to follow the police officer's orders and resist arrest. He paid the price for that sadly.

And the punishment didn't fit the crime here. But we have to be more vigilant. This shit's not a game. When they tell you to do something do it. If it's illegal, take it up with courts later. But make sure you make it home that night.

The other officer was on top of the guys legs. I think the officer that fired the shots will be charged but we will see what happens once it gets to court. Police officers have a good history of getting off when the jury decides on situations like this (Eric Gardner, Michael Brown, etc.. )

My point still is when you commit a crime the odds of you being shot by the police dramatically increase compared to when you're abiding by the law. We can't put ourselves in that situation, we know how they treat us. It doesn't excuse or explain their behavior but until something is changed that's the world we living in.
