Only one officer charged so far. And after seeing the charge broken down third degree nurses does seem like the best charge they can do. Anything higher would risk him getting acquitted. That’s a max of 25 years though.

And like I posted in another thread. Someone told me this morning they thought the whole thing was a hoax, that no one really died. The denial here is insane. If people don’t want to believe something they just make up a conspiracy theory to fit it.

I disagree with part of this. You have to try to reason with them and keep trying. I think a large part of the problem today is that people have started simply cutting people like that out of their lives and walking away. But when you do that it means that eventually those people are surrounded by only people who agree with them, there’s no one to tell them they’re wrong or to fight their misconceptions with hard facts. When you give up on people, you’re giving up on any chance for change.

Yeah this is true. Everything is so polarised. I've got friends of all political persuasions. But there are a lot of people who have just decided what they believe/what their tribe is and will obstinately refuse to listen to anything which they think goes against that no matter what. Classic fanaticism.
