I thought I'd make this thread for everyone to just generally chat about current world affairs or news. I don't think it should go in the entertainment section as some things may not be entertaining...

So back on topic, any news you want to share or opinions you want to give on things happening round the world or even locally please post it here

I'll start by putting this shocking story of 2 boys aged 10 & 11 who forced 2 other boys to perform sex acts on each other, hit them with bricks, and beat them half to death. Read the full article in the link below, it's just digusting what these boys did to 2 completely innocent people

The parents didn't do anything wrong though, why should they be punished?

I hope the kids minimum sentance goes up from 5 years to like 10-15 like people are pushing for. They shouldn't be able to get free after 5 years

The parents didn't do anything wrong???...They let them kids watch porn, horror films, smoke weed and drink alcohol, plus there was a lot of violence in their home, so please explain how they didn't do anything wrong? I got a 7yr old daughter myself and I like to think I'm doing a good job of bringing her up to be a decent person who knows right from wrong and I would never expose her to shit like that and if I did I would expect to be punished myself-I brought her into this world and I am responsible for the way she behaves.

Because everything besides the weed and violence is up to their discretion, there is no proof of the weed smoking and I don't think there is of the violence. It's the old saying, innocent until proven guilty which is what these parents are. The family may have been disfunctional but they didn't do anything to those two boys that got hurt and they didn't tell their kids to do it. That's why they haven't done anything wrong. You know news likes to exaggerate stuff behind belief so unless their is enough proof of this like police statements to the press then I don't believe these parents have done anything legally wrong.
