And the doubles should be one of the left and one of the right. Not all on one side. Balance it out.

No filters on the render It's really A mix I like to use on the render it's adjustment layer-B/W set on overlay then you play with it + Hue/Saturation set on overlay also and you mess around

Hmm so its your blending change thats messin it up. Try not to use overlay but use soft light.
