That doesn't work for me neither.
Try creating as shortcut first, and then drag the shortcut to your desktop. Works for me..

You gotta disable your anti-virus or it will do that, it thinks it's a threat that's why. You won't be able to open any or most if you don't turn it off (after checking it's clean)

                      Re: Adobe PS CS4.

                      This one's pretty nice:

                      http://ca.isohunt.com/download/18472...toshop.torrent

                      Instructions for installing:
1; Uninstall all previous cs3/4 photoshop apps.

                      2; Turn off internet

                      3; Replace your hosts file with the one in this folder or open your hosts file with notepad and change it to look like this;

                      Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.

                      #

This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.

                      #

This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each

entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should

be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.

The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one

                      space.

                      #

Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual

lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.

                      #

                      For example:

                      #

                      102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server

                      38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
