Thanks man. Erm just fidding with plenty of different ones. I always use different blending effects. And also trying out different C4Ds and seeing how they look in different positions basically. Fiddling with opacities and blending options and colours basically!
They are usually either one of these two below tbh. I'd start of with grabbing a bunch of brushes for that type of fire effect and fiddling with different colours, blending options, opacities and delete bits you don't want and keep playing with it til' you get what you want.
Brushes (such as splatter brushes and coloured for the right colour you want)
Cool stocks(fire, space stocks, etc) which I use blending effect and delete the bits I don't want to show up or move around til' it fits certain positions nicely
