I have some advice. Something has to be done about the head banner. It's the first thing people see when they enter your website, excuse me, I meant blog. And it's way too simple, and doubles as your background. I would also suggest making the background fixed. Something as small as favicon would highly improve your layout. How about a background for your posts? It may be kind of hard to read at the times and the size doesn't help either. Giving the post title the impact font would look nice. Remove the blogger bar.

I seriously don't mean to sound to like a hater and only did as you asked, criticize, but I don't get the header at all. A couple of papers, some bubble wrap on the left and a fence at the bottom with some electricity running? Maybe a collage of your work would suit better. With a dark overlay and a simple logo on top to not distract the viewer from the background work. As for the website/blog comment, I don't see anything wrong with it, sir. I don't know what you're going for here. It is a blog. Is it not?

Don't like the background mate, seems a bit busy which I think is due to it being on repeat, and also for the fact it's just the same image as your header image. If you could have it one size to re-size on different monitors and then fix the background it would be a lot better.

Also this is just my personal preference, I hate blogspot. It's so amateur, I would think about moving onto wordpress if your website is a long term commitment. You will find that it allows far more freedom and is a lot more powerful. You would be able to step up your blog BIG TIME, and could also eventually have an e-commerce store run within your wordpress website instead of having an external shop like you do.

The only other thing I noticed is your logo looks an exact copy of Dr Dre Beats logo? Just the flipped? With an added line on the bottom right? Now not sure if you had this before for years and it's just a coincidence? But if not then I would recommend changing it... I know it looks good but kinda makes you look like you can't think of your own ideas for a logo design, and I am pretty sure you are capable of doing so from the looks of your work.

All constructive though mate to try help ya out. Good work, and keep it up!

Who the hell cares about it being relevant, since when has art only had to be about relevance? The main things you want to look out for is something that sticks out to the users eye and draws them in. And quite frankly yours does that more than his, no offense to you 'Speedy Gonzales'. I just think there is nothing you need 'to get' about the header/background. It's creative, and looks good! Just my opinion!

My logo has actually been around for a while. I have just been perfecting it and I have been using it for about a year now publicly. It does look like Dre's logo a little but by complete coincidence. However it also is similar to Kevin Durant's logo....at least the "d" part of it.

But again it's all by coincidence. And Im not changing it right now. It would be a bad thing to change it because it is just starting to get some recognition around town/internet. Maybe in another year or so I will make a change or two but I like it right now so it's staying the same.

And Im not a huge fan of Blogspot. It's worked great for me the last few years but I will be switching over to a more powerful blog very soon. It's actually funny you mentioned this because it was something I planned on trying to launch in June.

That's a fine blog design but it also backs up what I am talking about. I want something to pop out when compared to all other blogs. When looking at LWHQ's homepage or for example RufusonFire.com's homepage they look very similar. Same goes for Bobcatsplanet.com. Im not saying they are bad design's but they are just all the same. The thing I want everyone to feel when they visit DieboltDesigns is that they just viewed something different. They may love it, or hate it but they will remember it.

I understand, sir. No offense taken. I don't know if you were talking about me when you brought up being relevant, but I don't remember speaking of such. As for my design, obviously it's nothing professional and I see that myself, I found a free design and worked for 20 minutes or less on it. As you can see on the posts, it's obviously not at all finished and It's not meant to be seen by anybody, but I decided to post it to help dude out. I can throw in some facebook/twitter icons, some actual news content, ads, and work on some graphics and it would obviously be presentable. Anyways, I did that as I've never worked on a wordpress theme before.

To diebolt, sorry if I got the name wrong, as long as you're comfortable with your design that's all that should matter. There will always be some with a different opinion, but you can never please everybody on the inter-webs....
