Hey guys, I've made a signature tutorial that reflects my style lately.
It's an intermediate level tutorial but I tried to make it as simple as possible.
Outcome:
Open a document the size of 432x152.
Fill the background with colour 2e2e2e.
Now we're going to add depth to the bg and our render/stock.
Insert texture 1. Go to filter>brushstrokes>spatter and choose a setting you like. Put this layer on colour dodge at an opacity you like.
Add your the render of your choice.
Duplicate it twice so you have 3 layers with your render.
Apply these setting from top to bottom.
Render copy 2 - normal 20%opacity. Erase everything but the renders face.
Render Copy 1 - Desaturate. (ctrl+shift+u) overlay 10%opacity
Original - Colour Dodge 100% opacity
So far:
Ok, now things could get tricky so ill try my best to make it simple:
New layer & image>apply image. Put this on overlay at 60%. Erase parts of the render if its too dark.
My sig is going to be blue texture based. So, when you add your light textures, add them on the settings i say below BUT if you want to change the colours. Hold CTRL & U and change the colour to you needs.
Add Text-1. - Desaturate it. - Colour dodge 100%
Add Text-3 - Colour Dodge 100%
Add 1 - Colour Dodge 100% COLOUR CHANGE
Add 2 - Colour Dodge 100% COLOUR CHANGE
Add 5 - Colour Dodge 100%
Add 6 - Screen 100%. I duplicated this and placed one either side of my render. COLOUR CHANGE
So far:
Ok, going to move away from light textures and add some blurred text to create light.
Type your renders name in white. Any font and around size 30.
Go to filter>blur>motion blur. Angle 90 and distance 40px. Put this text layer on overlay at 100%. Duplicate as you wish and place around the render.
Next: go to layer>new adjustment layer>gradient map. Choose the black to white one and apply it. Put this layer on hard light - opacity 10%
Add 7 - Colour dodge 100%. Duplicate if needed and arrange to look good.
Add 8 - Colour dodge 100%. Erase the messy parts.
Add 9 - mulitply 10% opacity and erase messy parts.
add 10 - colour dodge 100%. duplicate and place to look nice.
Nearly finished:
Next, New layer & image>apply image.
filter>sharpen. around 20% opacity.
New layer. CTRL + A then edit>stroke. 3px black, inside.
Lastly, text.
I used the font Mia's Scribblings. Type your renders name in white, size 18. Overlay 100%
New layer, size 15 SOFT white brush and brush over the text a few times. Put this on overlay.
Sig complete.
