      thanks bro!
here's the blog so you can have a better idea of what i'm talking about

      Oncore Official Blog

i basically want to make the facebook and twitter button the right linkable.
i tried using Image Map Tool - On-line Image Map Creator - HTML & CSS which worked but I couldn't place the html code to act to the background only the tables on the blog.

OK mate, you probably won't be able to do it. First of all image mapping on a background image isn't really possible the real image mapping way. There is a way to get the same effect as image mapping on a background but just using Divs. But I thought this was your own website like complete freedom and sadly with blogspot and others alike you don't have tones of freedom with it comes to code. They limit you. So you probs won't be able to do it.

Don't know what that image mapping service is but it looks like shit anyways lol. Image mapping I'm afraid is a dead technique. Nobody does it anymore.

But as it's a blog you are doing, I'm not sure how long you have had it, you may want to change service. I used to have a blogspot many years ago. But they are real shit. Wordpress is the one to have. You can get a free blog just like blogspot and it will be 'yourdomain.wordpress.com' just like blogspot does. But the difference is you will be given a unlimited supply of plugins. Plugins are one of the best things ever and wordpress is one of the most powerful platforms going now days. Everyone uses wordpress even for shops and standard websites.

When I develop my websites for clients all I do is use wordpress now days. If you use their free service you can get different themes that will look a lot nicer than your blogspot layout and you can you can get a nice social icon plugin for your sidebar (if it's not integrated to a theme you get else where). Wordpress just makes life a lot easier.

I'm actually using wordpress for another project of mine but I don't like that you have to pay extra for a lot of things. I'm gonna try to transition to wordpress though thanks for the help.

No worries, anytime. Yeah that is one problem with Wordpress when you use it as a free user, some of the cool things they will try make you pay, but you can still make a wicked blogging website that will be better than blogspot without paying anything.

Need anymore help with coding etc always happy to help.
