What I really don't get about the use of unauthorized samples is: why is the rapper sued for it and not the producer? I mean, if you get a beat from a producer that includes a sample in the beat, the responsibility should be on the producer to get authorization to use that sample. How is Wayne supposed to know whether his producers get permission to use a sample or not. If it isn't already the producer's job to get permission, then it needs to made their job.

To be honest, I don't understand why the producers continuing making beats for him if they filed lawsuits not so long ago. If you made a beat for an artist and you end up with unpaid royalties, why would you still continue working with them then? It's pretty much only assumed that much of the producers who sued him are now on terms with him because some of them are working on C4.
