When Tha Original CIII leaked, that shit probably shook the foundation over at Universal and Young Money Entertainment. I'm pretty sure it devastated Wayne. How many years of work was that album after Tha Carter II?

look at elliot willsons twitter.. this dude is a faggot. hes retweeting shit acting like weezy isnt tht good.. like cmon man. c4 was good not great for a wayne album and it was still better than any rap album in 2011 arguably.. ppl r confused. all of c3 leaked and he had to re-do the whole album. imagine if jcole or wales upcoming albums leaked today and they had to redo them... it would kill their career

As a Wayne Fan : No He shouldnt retire, I will miss checking this site for a new Wayne track to drop too much (Only artist I do this for are Wayne, Drake, Lamar, Kanye, and Em)

As a Real Wayne fan: He should, he been in the game too long, he isnt at the level he once was but he is still making good music. He found a new love, skateboarding, and he has kids @ the age where they really need a father figure.

Perfect scenario: He drops C5 about 6 months before he gets off probation... Proves he still has it and walks out the game. Then Once he can freely smoke weed with NO WORRIES he comes out with a new the Drought Mixtape that murders all the new nigguhs.

              *Fingers crossed*

Yeah. And look how well that turned out with C3 (Quality-wise. Fuck the sells. Yeah. They wouldn't have been shit without Lollipop. But there were so many single-worthy songs out of the first leaked batch that he'd have been guaranteed a hit, either way. It's always going to be looked at as a success. I'd rather listen to No Ceilings than the whole of the supposed "official" C3 tracklist. And that's just bein' honest.).

Tha Carter III's original incarnation is essential to the library of diehard fans who respect everything about Wayne that made him a threat in the past. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, legendary. Imagine if Time To Give Me Mine or One Night Only were singles. The fuckin' videos they could've made! UGH! Angers me when I think about the fact that they had to change the whole marketing strategy for that album. I know you think Wayne was nonchalant. But I'm pretty sure you'd get a good idea of how everybody at their offices felt about the original leak by lookin' at what Tez-PO had to say about it on Tha Carter Doc.

Guys not wrong. I defo think he needs a break. But I want him to go out on a high, although he has nothing to prove because he has done it all, I just want him to go out the game like he said, with everyone begging him to come back. And tbh if he left now or when he is 35 and he is still at the same level he is now then I just don't want to see him go like that, I want to see him go out C2, C3 style. Probably will never happen, but I'd prefer him to take a break and then come back when his heart is in it.

Like that feeling I'm gonna get with my first listen to his last ever album Tha Carter V (if he is true to his word) I don't need that to be like CIV. I would be extremely disapointed. But as I said he has nothing to prove, he doesn't have to give us anything or the same quality he once did, I'm happy we even got that. Just would still pray he goes out of the game with his last album being a fucking monster.

                    Just got this idea/wish

It would be soooooooo fucking dope if CV would be like a collection of different songs
Like, we know Wayne saves certain songs for bigger projects
So it would be the best thing ever if he would drop some super hot tracks from like 06-09
Maybe tracks from ICFMF / tracks from some sessions but also some recent ones he took
time to do .. shit like Novacane

If he could do that I'd be the happiest person ever cause like many of y'all said before
he doesnt have to do shit because he already accomplished so much but as a passioned fan
I really want him to leave on a high note so that people remember him as the legend/beast he was
That nigga that nobody could reach EVER, that worked like a mad man

And then he be gone like pow .. just like that

That'd be the sickest thing ever

He should retire right now, he shouldn't fuck up his legacy with stupid albums. He's already fucked up his mixtape legacy a lil bit with S4TW and his album legacy took hits with Lights Out and Carter IV.
