  • T-Pain is reportedly suing Cash Money over royalties from Tha Carter III

T-Pain has filed a lawsuit against Cash Money for royalties owed from Lil Wayne's 2008 album Tha Carter III, TMZ reports. The suit, filed by the singer's Nappy Boy Entertainment company, claims that T-Pain is owed more than $500,000 for his work on the platinum record. The lawsuit points out that T-Pain produced and was featured on "Got Money," a single from the album, TMZ points out.

Correct me if im wrong but T-Pain has mentioned/complained about his lack of payment a few times now no?

500k is good money.... i mean yeah, i was expecting more.

but 500k for a song + the popularity of the song gave him other things like:
more fame, solidified his name and brand.

then after the song was a hit, he can charge more for shows, touring, special events, signing, selling more merchandise and all that...

You can make alot of money with music, but not only music...
You have to use music as a tool to sell your other stuff....

that song probably gave him a good 5milli $$$$$$$ after all was said and done.

That song DID NOT give him more fame! He was already the 2nd hottest thing smoking at the time next to Wayne

if i recall correctly , the guy was fucked royally time and time again! I don't remember the whole case , but after all this he was technically left out of the business , and it's so sad , everybody nowadays uses his legacy to "make music"!
And I'm curious how the hell is Birdman pulling this shit out , he owes money to almost everybody that worked with him smh
