    Guns and stretchers
    Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

      it did.

let me explain how it gives him ( any artist ) more fame.

more hits you have = bigger is your name, brand and empir. it just solidifies your name. you become more relevant and popular...

a hit song is nice... but if this is all you got... they are going to forget who you are.

having multiple hits song is the best, this is how you can build a catalogue.

why do you think Wayne can still do 10milli+ listeners on spotify EACH MONTH. ???
Wayne has a big catalogue that reaches lots of different people. some people dont like ALL his songs, only SOME..

this is how you reach a bigger audience.... basically more fame for the artist.

      catalogue is very important.

      another example is Eminem.

both eminem and wayne hasnt really delivered any song in the last 3-4 years. but they are still doing big numbers if you take a look at their spotify page... youtube, socialblade / vevo youtube pages....

you guys are confusing what i said with this:

did he NEED that song to be popular?

apparently NO... because he was apparently already very popular.

but did it give him more fame?

      YES.

Tbf back then the internet wasn’t as big as it is today, especially when it comes to streaming instead of buying cds. I don’t know how much the artist himself gets for one single but I’m sure it’s less today.
so technically what you said was wrong.
still 500k for a feature is a decent amount of money.

could be but I think overall, just the source of income has changed / diversified

But I really dont know too much about it so I'm just reaching
