I feel like it goes much farther back and is a form of internalized oppression

"when I was young, I used to cry because I had dark skin
Martin Luther King gon' slap the shit out me when I die"

    Sad af.
Also probably a lot to do with when he shot himself, he said the policemen than left him dying on the ground were "blacker than me".

    Blame ourselves ????? That’s not wrong ???

Awww excuse me for being a black man in America thts a target for blames....

    Excuse the fuck outta me
He didn't say much but based on what he's said it doesn't seem like he feels he has any insight to offer. He brought it up at least, asked his guests to speak about it. Comparing the way he spoke about it at the beginning of that day to the end it seems like he's starting to acknowledge it more and try and educate himself, like everyone who doesn't feel connected should be. Will be interesting to see if he says anything more on his next episode, whole world is talking about no way it can just pass him by.

I completely agree, esp with Uncle Bob being white. It's gotta be a mindfuck for him.

I think people were done with him before this.
Between the wait for C5, his Emmit Till bar, his BLM comments, and antics of walking off stage.... I feel like he been slowly chipping at his fanbase over the years.

Wayne just need to take a break to find himself, then come back when he's sober and more self aware.
Because with everything going to hell this year I can't imagine people looking forward to anymore projects with him especially if they feel he doesn't relate with their struggles. 2 chainz might as well scrap their album.

Even if he does come back sober though don't think it'll make a difference. Really feels like wayne releasing/not releasing music anymore isn't something anyone other than hardcore fans (like us on hq) care about.....

This is why rappers like Kendrick will always be more respected than Wayne

I think Wayne will go down as a great rapper, but he won't ever be considered a positive influence like his peers.

But tbh he never did this rap shit to make a difference like K.dot, and Cole so I kinda get it.

Still...even a white guy like Em is more pro black then Wayne which is just brazy.

I see Breitbart using this story. He can't let his name be used to support right wing narratives.
